Milly Welcomes the Bishop of Durham
All of the schools in Durham Diocese were invited to take part in an event to welcome the new Bishop of Durham.  I had been making a flag to represent our Academy at the Bishop of Durham’s inauguration and I was chosen to represent the Academy and carry the flag.

Going the Extra Mile for Sport Relief
 

 Friday 21st March saw staff and pupils in years 7, 8, 9 and 11 run as many miles as they could in one hour in aid of Sport Relief.  Year 10 pupils completed their challenge the following week.  Read more.....

Year 7 Homework for the Summer Term 2014 will be about Discovery, Development and Delivery. Pupils have been briefed in a special assembly about what The Whitburn Challenge is and how they will complete it. Year 7 Form Tutors will be monitoring its successful completion.  In the last week of term there will be a special award for those who have excelled in the year group.

Whitburn Church of England Academy PTA will be holding its annual Summer Fayre on Saturday 11th July from 11am - 2pm.  We hope that you will be able to come along and support this fundraising event.
