Whitburn Church of England Academy will remain closed on Thursday 1st March 2018 due to the severe weather conditions but plans to reopen on Friday 2nd March 2018.

Road conditions remain very dangerous and we cannot guarantee that scholars’ buses or service buses will operate. As the Met Office Amber Warning has been extended until 6pm on Thursday, we have made the decision to close now to allow parents and carers more time to make arrangements.
We always close reluctantly and the decision has been made due to the significant safety risk to students and staff.
Revision work for Year 11 and Sixth Form students is available on Office 365.
