Christmas Swing-a-Long with WCEA Big Band Posted on: 20 Sep 2017
Our Music Department will be holding an informal concert on Thursday 14th December from 7:00pm – 9:30pm in ‘Food for Thought’. The event will be hosted by the WCEA Big Band, who will perform a range of pieces, including some Christmas repertoire. The band will be joined by our wonderful choirs and we hope to include some dance performances on the evening. The premise behind the event is to hold a relaxed, informal get together where people can enjoy the excellent music and maybe even have a little boogie on the dance floor!
Tickets must be purchased in advance by Friday 8th December from the Academy Business Office and are priced at £4.00 each or £10.00 for a family of three. Any pupils wishing to attend must do so with a parent/carer. Monies raised will be used to develop the extra-curricular opportunities we offer in the Academy, for example to buy music for future performances or equipment for the Big Band.
Mince pies and drinks will be available on the evening; any donations towards the costs of these refreshments will be greatly appreciated.
