On Wednesday 16th November 2016, six of our Year 7 pupils were invited to attend the South Tyneside FAB (Friends Against Bullying) Award Ceremony. The ceremony, held at Boldon School, recognises and rewards young people for helping to raise awareness of bullying and the impact it has on others, as well as the efforts they are making to stamp out the problem of bullying in all of its’ forms.
We were delighted to receive a FAB Award in recognition of the outstanding anti-bullying work happening across the Academy. Our pupil representatives received the award on our behalf and were an absolute credit to the school. They gave a fantastic speech and presentation to the audience of council members and staff and pupils from other South Tyneside schools.
We look forward to continue building our links with organisations like KIDSCAPE in the future and to further develop our anti-bullying work.
