Year 11 Final Arrangements Posted on: 8 Jun 2016
We will soon reach the point where our pupils will have completed their GCSE examinations, with the majority of Year 11 pupils taking their final examinations (Physics) on the morning of Friday 17th June. The remaining examinations are shown in the timetable below:

As Year 11 pupils now have a relatively small number of exams to complete, study leave for Year 11 will commence immediately after your child’s Maths exam on Thursday 9th June.
However, in addition to their examinations, pupils are required to attend school for the pre-exam revision sessions (held at 9am and 1pm) and any revision sessions for those subjects where they have not yet completed all of their examinations. The remaining Year 11 revision sessions are as follows:

Pupils may wish to bring notebooks and shirts on Friday 17th June for signing after completing their Physics exam, as this is the final time that all of the year group will be in school together.
On a personal note, I would like to thank all parents and carers of our Year 11 pupils for the help and support that you have given to the school over the past five years. It has been a great privilege to work these amazing pupils and watch them grow up into such delightful young people. It is wonderful that we have so many of them continuing their education with us in September as Sixth Form students and I look forward to seeing them on 28th and 29th June at our Sixth Form Taster Days. Those pupils who are not continuing with us leave Whitburn with the very best wishes of staff and governors for what I am sure will be a very bright future.
Pupils will officially leave school when they have completed the signing out process after their final examination, as advised previously. All textbooks should be returned to the Library, lockers emptied and locker keys handed in at the Main Academy Office. The signing out sheet will be issued by Mr Moore when the locker key and all books have been returned, and the locker has been checked. All books and keys must be returned by Friday 17th June 2016. The deadline to complete the signing out process is Thursday 23rd June 2016. Could I also remind parents and carers of the need to download their child’s reports from Go4Schools before Thursday 23rd June as access will be lost after this date if your child is not returning to us in September.
If any pupils have misplaced or lost any books or their locker key they must inform the Academy Business Office immediately and invoices will be produced and sent to parents/carers for all missing items.
