Friday 27th January marks Holocaust Memorial Day and we held a whole-school assembly that encouraged our young people to think about acts of intolerance and unkind words left unchallenged that can be the starting point for such atrocities. Two of our Year 12 students, Gabrielle and Charlotte became ambassadors for the Holocaust Education Trust following their participation in the Lessons From Auschwitz programme. They had written about their experiences visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau camp and delivered incredibly powerful, moving testimonies during the assembly. These can be read in full here.
