Following the announcement on the death of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II, a period of national mourning has begun and will continue until the end of the State Funeral on Monday 19th September. A national Bank Holiday has been declared for Monday 19th September. School will therefore be closed on Monday 19 September 2022 in line with information received from the DfE as a mark of respect for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral.
Yesterday the school held a whole school worship assembly to commemorate our faithful and faith-filled long-serving Queen. Both staff and students were able to remember and give thanks for her life, reflecting on the devotion and service that her Majesty has given to our nation. Students were exemplary in showing their respect and listened intently to a collection of poignant readings that helped us all reflect on the fantastic achievements of our longest serving monarch.
