School Uniform and Learning Resources Recycling Project Posted on: 18 Jun 2019

We are fortunate enough to have a group of parents, carers and staff who are willing to support with fundraising activities and projects, providing very much needed educational supplies and equipment to enhance our children’s education experience and the school’s facilities.

Our group is about much more than simply fundraising, moving forward we aim to provide closer links between home and school, bringing staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal.

Just recently, the work of our PTA has raised funds to support the purchase of ties for the newly appointed prefects. Members of the PTA were invited to our prefect ceremony in May to see many of our pupils presented with their new ties. The PTA also supported the purchase of our replacement school minibus, sourced second hand from another school South of Durham. Please keep up to date with our social media pages where we hope to share images of this very soon together with our group members.

Whitburn Church of England and Friends group are now launching a new school uniform & learning resources recycling project. There are an increasing number of wasted items in good condition that can help support others across our school community. We need your help!

If you do feel you can support this project and plan on having a big clear out in preparation for the new school year, can you please email [email protected] with a note as to when you would like to drop your items into school and we will gladly take them off your hands.

Further details can be found in our flyer linked here.
