Sixth Form Open Evening 2016 Posted on: 8 Nov 2016
Our Sixth Form Open Evening will take place this Thursday 10th November, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The evening will begin with a short presentation in the Septimus Hall at 6:00pm. Departments will be open in both the Sixth Form building and in the main school. Year 13 Subject Representatives will be on hand to explain what it is like to study each subject at A Level. There will be some Year 12 students available to guide you between departments if you are unfamiliar with the building. Refreshments will be available in the Sixth Form building courtesy of the PTA.
Whilst our offer is based around traditional A Level subjects, we have a partnership with NAC Group/Nissan UK which offers a Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering. Representatives from NAC Group will be available with some current students to talk to you about this programme.
Sixth Form staff will be available to answer any questions or queries you may have and Mrs Batey will answer specific questions about the admission process. Our Careers Co-ordinator, Mr Moore will be available in the Sixth Form study area to support you with queries about post-16 options. Should you require any information about SEN support in the Sixth Form, our SENCo, Mrs Bengston, will be available in Room 5.
Please note there is no parking on the Academy site. Spaces are available for ‘Blue Badge’ holders by prior arrangement. Public parking is available at South Bents Car Park and the pedestrian entrance at Nicholas Avenue will also be open.
