Monday 25th September saw the first ‘School Experience Day’ of the year organised by the Prince Bishop Teaching School Alliance and held at Whitburn Church of England Academy.
The event was attended by 10 aspiring teachers who came along to find out more about the profession and to receive further guidance on the different training routes available. Attendees were able to observe lessons during the day and talk to teachers about the profession. They also had a question and answer session with senior staff on the application process and the ITT year itself. The feedback on the day from attendees was extremely positive with one commenting, “I’ve learnt so much in one day which will help me in my application for teacher training. It’s definitely confirmed that this is the career for me”
