On Wednesday 5th April, Miss McGee joined Year 8 pupils Alex Miller and Leon Nicholson to attend the official launch of the publication of the Children’s Codex. The event was held at St Peter’s Church in Sunderland and was attended by the Bishop of Jarrow and the Mayor of Sunderland as well as representatives of the Bible Society, who generously supported the publication of the Codex.
Our representatives had the opportunity to read our version of the The Beatitudes and view an extract of the official video which tells of the official significance of this document.
Alex and Leon enjoyed their five minutes of fame, being interviewed by SUN FM, Made in Tyne and Wear and the BBC!
