Year 12 Learn to Sign Posted on: 17 May 2016
As part of the enrichment programme some of our Year 12 students have completed a short programme with Sonia, a wonderful British Sign Language tutor from the Deaf Fellowship. They have learned a lot of basic sign language, including how to say where they live, how they travel to Sixth Form and numbers.
Students have really enjoyed the course and have received certificates. We are looking to run a second block of lessons in the autumn term and would be delighted to welcome Sonia back to Whitburn Sixth Form.
