Durham House Charity Day
Oct 23 all-day

The whole school will be involved in a charity day to raise funds for Cancer Connections, Charlie Cookson Foundation and Teenage Cancer Trust. The day will be led by Durham House pupils who have chosen to support these worthy causes as their nominated charities.

We ask that pupils donate a minimum of £1.00 for the chosen charities. They will be allowed to attend school in non-uniform and will mark their support for our chosen charities by either wearing non-uniform, purple or dressed in fancy dress as an iconic popstar. We must point out that, although pupils are not required to wear school uniform, they must be dressed modestly and appropriately as is the norm on non-uniform events.

Other proposed activities throughout the day will include:

  • Cake and juice sale at break time in ‘Food for Thought’ (pupils should bring 50p for this)
  • ‘Guess The Teacher as a Baby’ competition
  • Sweets sale and apple bobbing at break
  • Inter-house dodgeball competition at lunchtime

We hope that all pupils will take an active part in this day and that they will have some fun and raise money for some very worthwhile charities.
