Durham and Tynemouth House Charity Day
Mar 24 all-day

On Friday 24th March 2017 the whole school will be involved in a charity day to raise funds for Comic Relief as well as to raise money for Cancer Research UK and Cancer Connections, a South Shields based charity.  The day will be led by Tynemouth and Durham House pupils who have chosen to support these worthy causes as their nominated charities.

We ask that pupils make a voluntary donation of £1.00 or more for the chosen charities. They will be allowed to attend school in non-uniform and will mark their support by wearing red noses, funny glasses or crazy socks.  We must point out that, although pupils are not required to wear school uniform, they must be dressed modestly and appropriately as is the norm on non-uniform events.

Other proposed activities throughout the day will include:

  • Cake and juice sale
  • Lunchtime karaoke
  • ‘Dress Like The Boss’ for Comic Relief (dress up like Mr Hardie and win a prize!)
  • Fun quiz in Registration

We hope that all pupils will take an active part in this day and that they will have some fun and raise money for some very worthwhile charities.
