b'Care, Welfare and Support We show a genuine care for the health and wellbeing of our students; our Pastoral Provision assures that no stone is left unturned. (Ofsted 2018) At the heart of everything we do, is the care and welfare of our students. We are absolutelycommitted to providing a caring, safe and supportive environment for every student in our academy. We work hard to make sure everyone feels safe and that all students respect difference, equality and diversity. We have an experienced pastoral team consisting of 8 Form Tutors, within each year group, who are the rst port of call for students who have any issues. They, along with the Pastoral Year Lead, have personal knowledge of each student and recognise the importance of students mental/emotional health and wellbeing. In addition to this we have a small team of in-school counsellors who students can speak to. We go the extra mile to ensure help and guidance is given to our students in all areas of their school life, as well as educating and encouraging them to be kind, caring, empathetic and emotionally resilient citizens. We recognise that many students will require additional support at some time during their school life. Whilst many factors create such difculties, we believe that they can be overcome by parents/carers, teachers and students working together. We also ensure the rapid identication of all students requiring SEND provision as early as possible and it is our desire that SEND students make great progress and take an active part in the life of the academy. Through forums such as the Junior Leadership Team and House System we ensure students have a voice in our school.11Students behave impeccably and conduct themselves with great maturity across the day. - Ofsted 201911'
